Sacha Baron Cohen has reportedly filmed Borat 2 in secret, and has even screened it to a 'select few industry types'.
According to a report from Collider, the concept for the sequel pivots on the fact that the hapless Kazakh TV star is now known by the public, and has to go undercover to interview people.
Cohen was spotted filming in Los Angeles last month, in footage posted to TikTok, dressed as Borat and driving a pick-up truck with a camera crew in a van ahead of him.
There's been no announcement of a second Borat movie, but it remains arguably Cohen's most famous (and most quoted) character.
The character was first properly developed as part of Da Ali G Show for Channel 4 in the early 2000s, noted for his unbearably awkward Guide To USA series of films.
Borat also had a small cameo role in the Ali G Indahouse movie in 2002, but became more of a household name in the Larry Charles-directed Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan, which emerged in 2006.
Beginning as a cultural travelogue, shot in mockumentary style, Borat eventually falls in love with Pamela Anderson, hoping to make her his wife.

Cohen hit headlines over the summer, after he appeared at a conservative rally in Washington in June, during which he duped the audience into joining in an offensive country song with racist lyrics.

A last-minute big donor paid to sponsor the event, and hire security & then that security kept the organizers from getting on stage to stop Cohen
"Whatcha gonna do? Chop em up like the Saudis do".
Whether the two instances of filming are related remains unclear, however the Washington stunt would tally more with his Netflix series Who Is America?, in which he interviewed political figures, such as Bernie Sanders, Dick Cheney and Roy Moore, in various disguises.
