Sabrina Carpenter just dropped another fun lovestruck pop track, “Nonsense,” and rocked a stunning outfit in its coinciding music video. As usual, fans can’t get enough! The ever-so-stylish “Fast Times” singer, 23, shared her new video this week in which she plays both herself and her male love interest (while dressing up in both a sultry, ab-baring ensemble that we’ll get into, and a teal bomber jacket with a black baseball cap when portraying her beau).

Sabrina Carpenter’s Sultry, Ab-Baring Get-Up Steals the Screen in “Nonsense”

The Girl Meets World star crooned catchy melodies and lyrics that convey having an all-encompassing crush while flaunting her sculpted abs in an asymmetrical, one-sleeve, black Rick Owens crop top with a plunging neckline and skintight fit. With this piece, Carpenter paired a low-waisted micro mini skirt from Miaou to further help show off her curves and toned figure. To complete her look, Carpenter added white, knee-high socks and glamorous, hot pink, D’Accori platform pump heels.

Carpenter’s video began with the singer sitting on her bed in her bedroom with friends around her as they got ready to attend a party. When arriving at the Euphoria-esque soiree, Carpenter locks eyes with a boy that she is attracted to (hilariously played by herself as well). At the social gathering, she chats it up with him, sings karaoke and dances the night away with her gal pals as the screen cuts back to her singing in her room and daydreaming about her crush.

As a notable style icon, it’s also no surprise that Carpenter effortlessly pulled off the 90s ‘visible thong’ trend with our fave outfit from the video, as her neon pink SKIMS lingerie straps could be seen above her skirt. To dazzle up her get-up even more, Carpenter accessorized with gold, oversized hoop earrings, a matching belly chain and layered, shiny rings.

As for makeup, the Tall Girl actress emphasized her crystal blue peepers with black liner, mascara, rosy blush and highlighter on her cheekbones, and pink, plumping lip gloss. She wore her blonde, wavy hair down with her curtain bangs parted in the middle while playing herself, and then later tucked darker strands under a baseball cap when playing her male love interest.

Fan Reactions

Carpenter teased the video with her 27.9 million Instagram followers earlier this week, and as seen from comments under her posts, her fans were enamored by not only her outfit, but acting abilities in the comical project. “I’m obsessed to say the least,” one user wrote of the video as another deemed it to be “serving Euphoria” with the lighting and costumes.

One other fan joked that the song is “catchier than chicken pox” while someone else dubbed Carpenter to be “as gorgeous as ever” in the crop top and mini skirt. In one of her captions, Carpenter dubbed “Nonsense” to be “one of [her] favorite videos may b ever” and from the impeccable wardrobe to the danceable song itself, we couldn’t agree more.
