Rylan Clark-Neal and Gary Barlow bury the hatchet after seven years

Rylan Clark-Neal and Gary Barlow have made peace seven years after their fall out on The X Factor.

TV presenter Rylan showed that Everything Changes as he shared a picture of himself and the Take That star embracing at a party.

Rylan,30, tweeted: “After 7 years..... we’re good @GaryBarlow”

Barlow, 48, responded with a thumbs up emoji and a heart.

The Take That singer famously stormed out of The X Factor studio on live TV when it emerged the public had voted to save Rylan in the first elimination round of the series.

Barlow called the Essex boy a “joke act” and accused him of turning the singing competition into a “soap opera”.

Barlow later said: "We get so caught up in the moment. I didn't want people to see me angry so I decided to walk off."

He added: “He [Rylan] clearly entertains some people. Let me tell you one thing, those kind of acts… they’re not for me. When I came to do this job I wanted to be the one to find great talent and bring on the young singers.”

Rylan hit back on Twitter writing: “I’d rather be ‘absolute s***’ than just stand there and sing the same old stuff every week on the spot… #boreme @GBarlowOfficial.”

Later that year Rylan posed for a photoshoot with a fake tattoo of Barlow on his back dubbing him “Gary Borelow”.

And when Take That bandmate Robbie Williams shared his support for Rylan on social media Barlow joked: "Twenty years knowing each other. We did a single together, and it's all over. In five letters, it's all over.”

Since coming fifth on The X Factor in 2012 Rylan has gone on to have a successful TV presenting career co-hosting Big Brother and most recently Strictly Come Dancing: It Takes Two alongside Zoe Ball. He has also been unveiled presenting revivals of hit gameshows Supermarket Sweep and Ready, Steady, Cook.

Barlow stepped down as a judge on The X Factor after three series in 2013.
