“Moscow is showing off its ‘historic grain harvest,’ as food shortage looms over Africa and Asia,” said Podolyak.
“’(World) hunger is our opportunity,’ Russian propagandists openly admit. The world should know that ‘record harvest’ is nothing but grain, stolen from (Ukrainian) farmers. Murderers, thieves, and executioners – that’s what Russia really is.”
On June 21, numerous media outlets reported that a multilateral Ukraine-Russia-Turkey-UN meeting on the subject of Ukrainian grain exports is set to take place in Istanbul, Turkey, in near future.

Russia is blockading Ukraine’s Black Sea ports, and consistently attacks rail infrastructure, preventing Ukraine from exporting its crops abroad.

Ukraine itself exports nearly 10% of the world’s grain, much of which is shipped to developing nations due to the lower prices on Ukrainian grain. Since Ukraine is unable to export much of its harvest, countries across Asia and Africa are now facing an imminent food crisis.
