JARED QUAY: Brooklyn got a look at its super team for the first time last night, and we'll let you know how it went a little later. But first, there was a changing of the guard. No, I'm not talking about the quarterback of the Colts. Although, Philip Rivers did pick literally the worst day to announce his retirement because the other changing of the guard, the one in DC, kind of stole his thunder just a little bit.

JOSEPH BIDEN: I, Joseph Robinette Biden Jr, do solemnly swear--

JARED QUAY: The 46th president was sworn into office yesterday, and reactions poured in from all over the sports world. From Steph Curry thinking about his kids, to Billie Jean King, who broke barriers of her own, to Jose Canseco wondering why the hell is Alex Rodriguez there? And you know, Jose Canseco has a good point. Why is he there?

Turns out A-Rod was there supporting his better half, but he did manage to kick it with 44. Guaranteed Obama's getting both for EDs. But neither of those guys could outshine the real star of the day.

Check it. Those kicks in the background are Dior Air Jordans 1s repped by Kamala Harris's nephew-in-law. Even Jordan ain't got a pair of those. If you want your own pair, you got to grab them on resell for about 10 racks. And that's a little bit out of my price, but who knows? If Joe Biden keeps giving out these stimulus checks, your boy might have me some Diors on.

- Here's Irving, one on one. Oh, what a fake over Osman. Book it.

- Ooh.

- Nice.

JARED QUAY: Kyrie Irving, Kevin Durant, and James Harden played together for the first time last night and proved you might need more than just three players to win games.

- Harden, now picked up by Sexton, launches a long distance 3.

JARED QUAY: You need a bench, which they don't have. And you might need a Collin Sexton, who dominated with 15 points in the second overtime to seal the win for the Cavs.

- Sexton for 3!

JARED QUAY: But not all NBA news was on the court. Two more games were postponed last night. So the league announced it's tightening up its COVID safety rules. After games, security will now separate both teams, making sure players don't hug are we even shake hands.

I kind of wonder who this rule's going to affect the most. I mean, it's got to be somebody at the end of the bench, right? This is the guy that always shakes everybody's hand because he didn't play. This should be called the Jared Dudley rule. I don't Jared Dudley asks for autographs after games, trying to give hugs to players, pitchers, and all that.

Which means that James Harden probably won't even know this rule changed. I mean, he hasn't touched a player after a game since 2002. I mean, since he started growing a beard, hugs were long gone.
