'On to Round 2!' Texas fans react after first NCAA Tournament win since 2014

After a tight first half, No. 6 Texas pulled away from No. 11 Virginia Tech in the second period to kick off their NCAA Tournament with a 81-73 win in Milwaukee on Friday.

The victory was the first for the Longhorns in the tournament since 2014. The program had incurred losses in its past five opening round games. Texas will continue its March Madness run on Sunday when they play No. 3 Purdue.
