Rosemont Market & Wine Bar opens soon in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood

The long-awaited Rosemont Market & Wine Bar will open in Charlotte’s Elizabeth neighborhood in the spring, the company announced on Tuesday morning.

Here’s what you can expect when the restaurant and gourmet market opens:

  • Restaurant: Breakfast, lunch, coffee, liquor, wine and beer, including a wine bar with a full-service chef-driven dinner.

  • Market: food items, catering capabilities and grab-and-go meals.

A bar will open up to the patio when weather permits. Indoor dining will be offered, with more than 60 seats. About half of the indoor space will be dedicated to the market.

Breakfast and lunch will be counter service, featuring:

  • Pastries, sandwiches, soups and salads; and

  • Coffee, espresso-based drinks and nitro cold brew.

Dinner will feature a full-service, sit-down menu, including:

  • Wine-bar-style tapas;

  • Shareable entrees and salads;

  • A selection of desserts.

Wine will be served in a variety of ways:

  • Dual-temperature systems for draft wines

  • Tableside by-the-glass pours

  • High-end by-the-glass selection.

Rosemont will also have a full-service liquor bar with a martini menu, as well as non-alcoholic options.

Owners of The Crunkleton and Cheat’s Cheesesteak Parlor

The restaurant and market’s company, 1957 Hospitality Group, is also the team behind neighboring Elizabeth restaurants The Crunkleton and Cheat’s Cheesesteak Parlor.

“Rosemont Market & Wine Bar will serve those who live and work in the neighborhood who want to grab coffee and breakfast, take lunch back to the office, pick up a few ingredients to cook at home, or sit down and have a glass of wine over a memorable dinner. It will be a true all-day experience,” 1957 Hospitality Group’s Blake Thompson said in a statement.

The Rosemont team includes:

  • Executive chef Mike Long, formerly of The Asbury;

  • GM Bradley McClain, formerly of Good Food on Montford and Peppervine; and

  • Bar manager Jacob Shorthouse, formerly of The Porter’s House and Piedmont Wine Importers.
