Rose-Hulman professor to compete in 'Jeopardy!' tournament

An English professor from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in Terre Haute will compete on Thursday night's "Jeopardy!" episode as part of the venerable quiz show's professors tournament.

Julia Williams will go up against two other professors from across the country. In all, 15 professors will feature in the tournament. "Jeopardy!" episodes are taped months in advance, but the contestants and results are kept strictly under wraps.

The episode will air at 7:30 p.m. on NBC affiliates, WTHR-13 in the Indianapolis area.

According to her profile on Rose-Hulman's website, Williams joined the faculty in 1992 and has held various roles as both a professor and administrator. Her teaching interests are listed as engineering and professional communication and British literature.
