Rollover crash with serious injuries snarls traffic on I-495 in Lawrence
A rollover crash with serious injuries caused lengthy traffic delays on Interstate 495 in Lawrence on Friday morning.
Emergency crews responding to a report of a crash on the northbound side of the highway found a vehicle flipped on its roof in the grassy median. According to the Reading Fire Department, the truck spilled salt and was leaking fuel across the highway.
Crews had to treat the driver for his sustained injuries while also mitigating the fuel leak.
Just after 10am this morning, companies were dispatched to Route 95 south at Route 93 for a tractor trailer rollover....

Aerial video showed multiple ambulances and fire trucks at the scene. Traffic was backed up for miles.
The two left lanes on the northbound side of the highway and one southbound lane were closed while first responders worked at the scene.
All travel lanes have since been reopened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
