Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will feature a temporary mask requirement for events, including Cavaliers games, starting with Friday's game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Fans above the age of two attending Cavs games and other events will be required to wear a mask that covers both the mouth and nose when inside the venue unless they are actively eating or drinking. The mask requirement begins on Friday and is currently scheduled to be in effect through the end of January.

Neck gaiters, bandanas and masks with valves or vents do not meet the health and safety standards and won't be permitted. If a fan doesn't have an approved mask, one will be given to them at the time of entry at no cost.

The decision behind the mask requirement being put into place is a result of the recent surge in COVID-19 cases in Cuyahoga County and throughout the country and was made in consultation with local health experts.

In addition to the arena's mask requirement, individual outside event promoters might require further protocols at their discretion. Ticketed guests will receive an email that outlines the specific health and safety protocols for the specific event. Protocols can also be viewed on each event's designated page at rocketmortgagefieldhouse.com.
