Richmond County games cancelled Friday amid early release for students

Richmond County Schools announced early dismissal for Friday’s school day and cancellation of all evening athletic and extracurricular activities ahead of forecasted inclement weather.

The announcement came Thursday evening in a school board issued release that stated students of all grades will be released from classes at 11:30 a.m.

Some weather reports predict a wintry mix of precipitation to include rain, snow showers and some potentially icy roads as temperatures are expected to fall below freezing Friday night.
