Residents show their love for Brunswick County

It's Valentine's Day and love is in the air in Brunswick County.

In Oak Island, Luke Bennett's love of running and nature will take him on a more than 1,000 mile journey across the state raising funds for the North Carolina Wildlife Federation.

Bennett will begin his trek in March as he travels west on the Mountain-to-Sea Trail, documenting the journey with the help of NCWF.

People across the country also love Oak Island, though they often get the wrong one.

Thanks to the popular reality TV show "The Curse of Oak Island," which is set in Nova Scotia, Canada, the Brunswick County town is often inundated with fans showing love or sharing their theories about the treasure.
