Figment, the fanciful Epcot dragon and Disney fan favorite, may be getting his own movie, reports Deadline.com.

The film is in the works from Point Grey Pictures, the production company of comedians Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg. Dan Hernandez and Benji Samit have been tapped to write the project, according to the website.

No details regarding plot, casting, format or timeline were reported.

Figment, a creation of Walt Disney Imagineering, has been a fixture at Epcot since the Journey Into Imagination ride opened in 1983. Among his attributes are two tiny wings, two horns, purple skin and a part in the song “One Little Spark,” written by the Sherman Brothers.

He’s also a merchandising cash dragon, appearing on everything from apparel to novelty popcorn containers. The character was selected to be one of the golden Fab 50 statues that Walt Disney World installed as part of its 50th anniversary celebration. At the recent D23 Expo, Josh D’Amaro, chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, announced that Figment will be available for meet and greets with Epcot visitors next year.

But the character’s big-screen appearances have been limited to cameos in “Inside Out” and “Toy Story 4.”

Other Point Grey projects have included “Pam & Tommy,” “The Boys” and “The Disaster Artist,” starring James Franco.
