Are stores open on the 4th of July?

This year, Independence Day is celebrated today, July 4. A number of stores will be closed on July 4, but their online shops will be open for business—and bustling with hot summer savings.

These stores will remain open on July 4: REI, Walmart, Best Buy, Home Depot, Target, BJ's, Sam's Club, CVS, Kohl's and Macy's.

The following stores will be closed on July 4: Costco, USPS, FedEx and UPS.

When do 4th of July sales start?

Early 4th of July sales started toward the end of June and are running through midnight tonight, July 4. Many major retailers are running 4th of July sales, including Solo Stove, Lowe's, Walmart and Stuart Weitzman.
