Reed selected to North South team

Mar. 8—Washington Hatchet senior football player, Trey Reed has been named to the IFCA North-South All Star Football Team.

He will be representing the IFCA South All-Star Team in the Annual IFCA North-South All-Star Classic game played in Indianapolis on Friday, July 9.

"It's an honor and privilege that he can be proud of and Trey will represent Washington, Region IX and Indiana High School Football well," said WHS coach Joe Morris.

"He is very deserving and is Washington's first North-South All-Star since 1989 with Andy Waller. He is a three-sport player and I believe he could have played in college in any of those sport. However the thing that stands out the most is his humility."

Reed will be joined by at least one familiar face on the team, as Washington head coach Morris will be part of the coaching staff, coaching the defense for the South. Morris was honored after just one season of coaching at WHS.

"I'm greatly honored to be a part of this. I'll just say that I know I will 'getting' a lot more to be around those than I will be 'giving,'" said Morris.
