The Oklahoma Sooners look to rebound from their disappointing performance vs. Kansas State against the TCU Horned Frogs this Saturday at 11 a.m. in Fort Worth. After TCU, we now know when the Red River Showdown will take place.

The Sooners and the Longhorns will kick off at 11 a.m. CT on Saturday, October 8, in the Cotton Bowl in Dallas. The game will be aired on ABC.

It’s become the typical timeslot for the two sides who have played some memorable games of late.

In the most recent matchup, the Oklahoma Sooners trailed by 20 points at halftime before Caleb Williams, Marvin Mims, and Kennedy Brooks put on a show to give the Sooners the lead.

Williams’ athleticism provided a spark, and Mims contested catches gave the Sooners the life they needed to get back in the game offensively. Kennedy Brooks was fantastic late, scoring the go-ahead touchdown twice in the final eight minutes to help the Sooners complete the epic comeback.

The game will have a much different tenor to it after the Longhorns dropped their second game of the season and Oklahoma lost to Kansas State. If the two teams are able to win this weekend, both teams would be playing to stay in the Big 12 title race when they meet in Dallas.
