Red River teacher receives scholarship for graduate education

Jun. 17—Sarah Boese-Noreen, a science teacher at Red River High School, has been selected to receive an $850 scholarship from the Grand Forks Foundation for Education to support her pursuit of an advanced degree this summer.

The foundation's UND Phi Delta Kappa Graduate Scholarship supports educators who are pursuing graduate degrees in education at UND. This scholarship is intended to promote leadership potential, enhance leadership skills and help deserving graduate students with the completion of master's or specialist degrees in education.

Boese-Noreen, who began teaching in the Grand Forks school system in 2014, holds an undergraduate degree in biology from UND.
