Canada sets record with 4 selected to NBA Rising Stars Game
Raptors rookie Terence Davis won’t be there, but Canada will be well represented at NBA All-Star Weekend as the country’s contingent at the 2020 Rising Stars game is set to be a record-setting group.

Forty percent of the World Team roster will be comprised of Canucks, with RJ Barrett (Knicks), Nickeil Alexander-Walker (Pelicans), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder) and Brandon Clarke (Grizzlies) all being selected to the international squad.
Davis was not picked to the American team despite the productive start to his NBA career.
The high-mark for Canadian content in this game was three, as Trey Lyles, Dwight Powell and Andrew Wiggins all suited up together in 2015. Hall of Famer Steve Nash was the first-ever Canadian to participate in the Rising Stars game back in 1997.
Two Canucks — Jamal Murray (2017) and Wiggins (2015) — have won NBA Rising Stars MVP awards.
The 26th edition of the Rising Stars Game will feature 20 of the NBA’s best rookie and sophomore players, with international and American teams pitting off against each other. Last year saw Team USA take it by a score of 166-144, while the World squad took three of the four prior contests going back to 2015.
NBA All-Star weekend takes over the United Center in Chicago from February 14-16.
