Raptors waive forward Justin Champagnie
Champagnie appeared in only 39 games over two seasons with the Raptors after signing a two-way contract in 2021.

The Toronto Raptors announced on Thursday that they have waived forward Justin Champagnie.
Champagnie, 22, had been with the Raptors since 2021, signing a two-way contract with the club after going undrafted in the 2021 NBA Draft. The 6-foot-6, 220-pound forward averaged 2.2 points and 1.9 rebounds in 39 career games with Toronto over the last two seasons.
The Brooklyn, New York native attended the University of Pittsburgh, where he averaged 14.7 points, 8.5 rebounds and one assist in 53 games with the Panthers. He was selected to the First Team All-ACC following his sophomore season, and promptly declared for the NBA Draft.
Champagnie failed to make a lasting impression on head coach Nick Nurse and his staff as he dealt with an injury to start the season. His current deal was set to become fully guaranteed for the year on Jan. 1
Waiving the second-year player gives Toronto some roster flexibility, with the ability to sign free agents on 10-day contracts beginning on Jan. 10.
The Raptors' roster now stands at 14 players, with a pair of two-way players.
