Rapper Boosie Badazz: Lil Nas X Pushes Gay Identity on Children

Rapper Boosie Badazz defended his earlier homophobic and violent comments about Lil Nas X in a recent episode of The Breakfast Club, reported Billboard.

In July, he said that if he saw Lil Nas X perform naked at an awards show he’d “drag his a** offstage and beat his a**.”

Lil Nas X recently revealed he's hired security due to concerns over safety, including comments made by other rappers.

During the radio show, Angela Yee asked Badazz about the comments. Badazz said that he didn’t think he’d gone too far, adding that it was straight people who were the ones being marginalized.

“I gotta speak up because as far as straight people in the world, you don’t have any opinion no more on sexuality. Everything is harm,” he said. “If you say anything — ‘I’m straight, I like women’ — it's vulgar to, you know.”

The hosts of the show said that wasn’t accurate, but Badazz responded, “You can’t brag on really smashing or your sexuality no more,” he said. “It’s ran by LGBTQ [people].”

While co-host Charlamagne the God attempted to point out that rappers still discuss having straight sex, Badazz ignored the comment.

Instead, he brought up DaBaby’s comments from July at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami.

“How many times you been on set ... and you heard somebody say, ‘If you ain't got AIDS, make noise,’ and the whole club is like, ‘Ahhh’?” he asked the co-host, according to Billboard. “It’s a different time, and because he's one of the biggest. They try to make examples out of people.”

He then went on a rant about Lil Nas X and LGBTQ+ artists and their effect on youth.

“Who love these rappers? The kids,” Badazz said. “If you make every rapper go with this ... you grab that generation. I loved every rapper when I was little, you know? I tried to copy what they did. It’s a new day now, and I feel like they're pushing it on our kids.”

Charlamagne continued to press Badazz about his logic, but Badazz continued.

“I was like, d***, all these straight people in the world, all these millions of kids gonna watch this, and ain’t no straight rapper gonna say, ‘Nah, n****, we don't want you on that TV,’” he said. “If you were trying to raise them, would you be cool with sitting there and trying to watch Nas X go up there and take his clothes off? If you do, Charlamagne, you're part of the problem.”

Lil Nas X, who has continued to show time and time again that he is a master at the social media game, responded to a clip of the interview The Breakfast Club posted with his response: “Wow.... this is insane. Almost as insane as my new single ‘industry baby’ which is out now!”
