Raise your glass to history: Auction event benefits Monroe County Historical Association

Break out the cocktail attire and prepare to say "cheers!" to the history of the Poconos. The Monroe County Historical Association has announced the return of "Raise Your Glass and Support the Past," a wine-pairing dinner and auction to benefit the Association's museum and library located at 900 Main St., Stroudsburg.

This year's soiree, — which was held virtually for the last two years due to pandemic — will take place on Thursday, Sept. 8 at Skytop Lodge.

Tickets to the event include a three-course meal with tasteful wine-pairings curated by Melisa Mersini, wine director of Momento Restaurant in Stroudsburg.

The Erin McClelland Band will be providing live music with plenty of time for dancing after the auction.

A variety of auction items include gift certificates to local restaurant and businesses, vintage jewelry, antiques, local artwork, collectibles, special tours and excursions packages, photography sessions, wine baskets and vacation getaways.
