CHARLES ROBINSON: Let me read through this real quick for you, and then I want to get your reaction to this.

New York Giants cornerback Deandre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar both facing multiple charges related to an armed robbery in Miramar, Florida, the Miramar Police Department tweeted on Thursday afternoon. As part of what was released on this, it says that Baker and Dunbar were at a cookout on Wednesday playing cards and video games when an argument started. Baker then allegedly whipped out a semiautomatic firearm, per the report. Baker and Dunbar started to rob the guests, taking their watches and other valuables. An arrest warrant for both players has been issued.

TEREZ PAYLOR: I think we'll all dig into this, see what happens. But you know, it's just a-- it's a shock, 'cause you don't really see these kinds of charges that often happen with NFL players.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Not-- yeah, this is-- I mean, this definitely was one that sticks out to me with NFL players. You know, this is-- I mean, Deandre Baker's first round pick.

TEREZ PAYLOR: Right.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Got a little something to lose, you know. I mean, it's not like this is just a guy who-- he's definitely not someone who's hanging on by any means in the NFL.

TEREZ PAYLOR: Yeah.

CHARLES ROBINSON: You know, should have a bright future in front of him. And then Quinton Dunbar--

TEREZ PAYLOR: Timing couldn't have been worse for the Seahawks, because guess what? They need this guy. [LAUGHS] Like, they need this guy, man. They traded for him.

Their cornerback play last year was not good, man. Shaq Griffin's cool. He's a good player. But on the outside, this is why they traded for this guy, because he had a good season last year and because they're trying to win this division.

If they don't have him, that cornerback position is a huge question mark, because they did not really address it in the draft, man. So I'm sure just the threat of this is enough to infuriate the Seahawks brass, because they literally, again, just traded for him.

CHARLES ROBINSON: I mean, Deandre Baker-- I'm just like, jeez. This is a guy-- I remember literally having conversations with personnel guys, at one point, when he was at Georgia who thought he might be a top 10 pick.

TEREZ PAYLOR: And then the more they dug in to him a little bit, that draft stock dropped a little bit. And we saw that unfold during the predraft process. You know, the Giants are trying to win games too. They don't have a whole lot of cornerback depth. So-- just they're not really positioned to handle this as well.
