The Queen and Prince Philip mark 72 years of marriage today.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were among the first to congratulate them with a sweet throwback snap on their official Twitter account. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle also marked the occasion with a throwback photo of the couple - Harry’s grandparents - on Instagram.
The Queen, then Princess Elizabeth, wed Philip at Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947 aged just 21 years old.
They met when they were teenagers, with their relationship enduring the Second World War.
Although Philip retired from public duty in 2017, they’ve captured many happy memories throughout the years and had four children, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
