Public Records: Restaurant Inspections

The following are restaurant inspections with critical violations, as conducted by the Guernsey County Health Department, in the month of August.

August 10

Jackie's Family Restaurant, 9792 Plainfield Road, Kimbolton. The handwashing sink is being used for purposes other than hand washing. Potato slicer observed with food debris buildup. Chili and pork chops observed in the walk-in cooler without proper date-marking.

August 16

Faith Community Childcare, 192 Second St., Byesville. Observed cleaning supplies being stored in the handwashing sink. Employee corrected.

August 18

Days Inn, 2328 Southgate Parkway, Cambridge. No person in charge was present in the food facility during the inspection.

August 22

Dominos Pizza Byesville, 60201 Southgate Road, Byesville. No person in charge was present in the food facility during the inspection. Chicken, ham, and steak in the walk-in cooler were not date-marked.

Orr's Drive-In, 60200 Southgate Road, Byesville. Cut greens, onions, and tomatoes in the prep cooler do not bare a seven-day date mark.

August 30

New Great Chinese Buffet, 61259 Southgate Parkway Cambridge. Handwashing sink not accessible. Serving tools/pans were observed in the handwashing sink by the wok. Chicken in the walk-in cooler was not covered to prevent cross-contamination.

Tlaquepaque Mexican Restaurant, 61275 Southgate Parkway, Cambridge. Raw beef products were observed in storage above ready-to-eat items (lettuce, onions). Storage containers for tortilla chips have buildup and shall be sanitized every 12 hours. The person in charge states containers are cleaned every three days. Observed several pans of refried beans and chicken in the walk-in cooler that did not bare a date mark.
