Public meeting on Mission Creek cemetery is next week

Apr. 13—A virtual public meeting to update the status of the cemetery restoration along Mission Creek will be 3 p.m. Monday, the Minnesota Department of Transportation said in a news release.

MnDOT is hosting a virtual public meeting to update the community on the status of work along state Highway 23 and Mission Creek, where cemetery restoration is expected to begin this fall.

The cemetery was disturbed by heavy equipment work at the start of a bridge replacement project in 2017.

To prevent further spread of COVID-19, MnDOT is not hosting any in-person public meetings at this time. The virtual meeting will provide participants an opportunity to meet with MnDOT staff and ask questions.

To join the virtual meeting visit: dot.state.mn.us/d1/projects/hwy23-mission-creek//meetings.html. Those without internet access can also join by calling 855-282-6330 and entering access code 146 970 4747. For those unable to attend in person, a recording will be posted on the project webpage to view when convenient.

MnDOT said it invites and encourages participation by all. If a person need an ASL, a foreign language interpreter or other reasonable accommodation, or need documents in an alternative format (such as Braille or large print) for the event, please email your request to Janet Miller at ADArequest.dot@state.mn.us or call 651-366-4720.
