Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have welcomed a baby via surrogate. The couple officially confirmed the exciting news on Friday with an Instagram post.

"We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family," the two wrote in a joint statement.

Chopra and Jonas married in 2018 after a four-month engagement, first in a traditional Christian ceremony in India, and then again in a Hindu ceremony (and went on to celebrate several more times henceforth).

The actress has previously said that the couple want to have children, but weren't in any huge rush to make it happen.

"We both know that that's something that needs to happen, but it's not something I think about very much," she told reporters at the premiere of her movie, Isn't It Romantic, back in 2018. "We're both very driven, we love our work, we're married to our work and we're both very supportive of each other's work. So I'm sure it will happen in an organic way."

Congrats, Priyanka and Nick!
