Let's give a warm stateside welcome to the Prince and Princess of Wales! Prince William and Kate Middleton are in the United States for three days to present at the Earthshot Prize Awards this Friday, but they made sure to squeeze in time for a date night first. The royal couple visited TD Garden to watch the Boston Celtics take on the Miami Heat in Boston, Mass., People reports.

The pair took to Instagram to document their "baskets in Boston" date and share their excitement to connect with people in the community. "Fantastic to celebrate the arrival of #EarthshotBoston2022 in the city and meet members of the community doing amazing things to protect and restore the planet," they captioned their joint reel with the Boston Celtics' Instagram account, which included behind-the-scenes footage of their night out.

To close out their social media post, the royal duo highlighted a changemaker they spoke to during a break in the basketball game. "Last night's @Celtics #HeroAmongUs, Ollie Perrault, fights for environmental justice, working to get more young people involved in climate action—and all this at 15 years old. Amazing work!" they wrote.

The couple clearly enjoyed their evening out on the town, as they mingled with the players on each team and prepped for their event, which honors those who are helping to restore the Earth. They posted another reel to their joint Instagram with the Earthshot Prize account, as well, noting that it was "great to be there for a @Celtics win" during their "countdown to celebrate the inspirational Earthshot finalists and their solutions to help repair our planet."
