A memorial service is being held for Prince Philip, who died on Friday April 9, at Canterbury Cathedral.

The service is being lead by the Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby, who will address a small, socially-distanced crowd inside the cathedral as well as thousands across the country via a livestream.

The UK is officially in a period of national mourning for the next week, up to and including Philip’s funeral on Saturday April 17.

Next Saturday’s royal service in St George’s Chapel, Windsor Castle, will be like no other, with the Queen and her family wearing face masks and socially distancing as they gather to say their final farewell amid coronavirus restrictions.
