Triway 48, Manchester 40

Using a balanced attack, Triway picked up big contributions all around in a Principals Athletic Conference opening win over Manchester. The Titans owned the glass with a 30-22 advantage and more importantly were able to extend possessions with 12 of those coming at the offensive end, along with forcing the Panthers into 19 turnovers.

“We moved the ball well at times and that gave us really good looks at the basket,” said Triway coach Mike Miller. “Our first-half defense was our best defensive half of the season. We just need to continue that good effort and get more consistent each game.”

Leading the way for the Titans was Caitlin Titler, who scored a team-high 15 points, nine of those coming from deep, and dished out three assists. Mallory Fluharty led effort on the boards with six rebounds and scored nine points, Aaliyah Wirth played tough with nine points and three boards.

Tuslaw 50, Orrville 15

Hosting Orrville in a PAC opener, Tuslaw laid down the defense as it limited the Red Riders to just one point in the opening quarter. That allowed the Mustangs to grab a 16-1 lead and they never looked back in the conference victory.

Setting the pace was Bri Fitzgerald, who drained a pair of trifectas and finished with a team-high 15 points. Abby Hoiles poured in 11 points, Kasi Tully buried a trio of long-range bombs for nine points and Katelyn Eberhardt tallied six points.

Orrville was paced by Averi Haley with nine points.

Hiland 56, Ridgewood 26

Mallory Stutzman led a trio of players in double figures as Hiland rolled up an Inter-Valley Conference win over Ridgewood. Scoring eight in the first quarter, Stutzman spurred a 12-2 run to open the game and finished with 16 points for he Hawks.

There was Trish Troyer flushing home a trio of three pointers and totaling 13 points and Ashley Mullet hit a pair from deep and had 14 points.
