PREP ROUNDUP: Logansport baseball beats Marion 15-0

May 19—The Logansport baseball team defeated Marion 15-0 in five innings Wednesday at Jim Turner Field.

Kaiden Lucero and Tristan Kitchel combined on a one-hit shutout for the Berries (17-9). Lucero got the start and pitched three hitless innings with two walks and seven strikeouts. Kitchel allowed one hit on a grounder that found its way between the first and second basemen. Kitchel allowed one walk and struck out two in two innings.

The Berries tallied 13 hits in just four innings of offense. Kitchel had a double, single and four RBIs. Isaac Russell and Dylan Pearson each went 2-for-2 with a double and RBI. Gavin Smith had an RBI triple. Lucero and Bodie Jones each had a double and two RBIs. Jon Maloy and John Scott each had a single and RBI. Grayson Long and Cooper Smith added a single apiece. Andrew McGee and Brennan Goforth both drew a bases loaded walk for an RBI.

Logan hosts Lafayette Central Catholic on Saturday at noon. Logan will celebrate Humberto Sanchez on Military Appreciation Day prior to the game.

BOYS GOLF

CULVER ACADEMIES 154, WINAMAC 200, CASTON 227

Caston and Winamac competed at the Culver Academies course on Tuesday.

AJ Dague led the Comets with a 47, followed by Colby Pugh (53), Bailey Zimpleman (57) and Luke Graham (70).

Jaxon Roudebush led Winamac with a 42, followed by Jaden Terry (46), Gram Turpin (54) and Ryan Gregor (55).

Caston and Winamac will compete at the HNAC meet on Saturday at Round Barn in Rochester.

GIRLS TENNIS

LOGANSPORT SECTIONAL

Cass and Delphi's first-round match was postponed to 4:45 p.m. today.

The semifinal matches have been moved to Friday.
