Prep baseball: Oxford top seed in county tourney, defending champ Piedmont No. 2

Mar. 1—SAKS — Oxford will carry the No. 1 seed in the Calhoun County baseball tournament, and defending champion Piedmont has the No. 2 seed.

The tournament starts Friday at Choccolocco Park. Semifinals are March 8 at 4:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The championship is March 9 at 6 p.m. in Jacksonville State University's Jim Case Stadium.

Coaches voted on seeds Sunday at Saks High School, host school for 2020-21 county championships.

Rounding out seeds were No. 3 Ohatchee, No. 4 Alexandria, No. 5 Jacksonville, No. 6 Pleasant Valley, No. 7 Saks, No. 8 White Plains, No. 9 Faith Christian, No. 10 Donoho, No. 11 Weaver, No. 12 Wellborn, No. 13 Anniston and No. 14 Jacksonville Christian.
