Welcome to Yahoo Soccer’s Premier League Starting XI. This lineup of stories will get you ready for the upcoming season as we count down to kickoff on Friday.

The Premier League is the richest and most-watched soccer circuit on the planet, in part because it’s the most competitive and consistently fascinating.

There’s more parity than in Spain, Italy or Germany, where Barcelona, Juventus and Bayern Munich have hoarded most of the domestic titles this decade. That extends from the top, where Manchester City and Liverpool are set for an epic duel once again, to the bottom, where nearly half the table will be under serious relegation threat at one point or another.

That’s just how it goes in the Premier League. And more surprises are surely in store this campaign.

You can watch the drama all season on Yahoo Sports through our partners at NBC Sports, the American television rights holder, and we cherish that privilege. Here’s everything you need to know.

How can I watch?

All season long, Yahoo Sports will prominently feature match streams on our home, soccer and Premier League pages. Typically, these will be matches simultaneously broadcast on TV.

Most matches will be shown on NBC or NBC Sports Network, available through cable providers or app-based devices such as Roku. Occasionally, games will be broadcast on affiliates such as CNBC, MSNBC or the USA Network.

What do I need to watch?

Besides a TV or computer, you’ll need authentication via cable log-in.

How can I watch matches that aren’t shown on TV?

The NBC Sports Gold Package will live stream 140 matches, with all 380 matches this season available to watch as on-demand replays. Multiple passes are available for a price, with various levels of content access. For more information, visit the official Gold Premier League page.
