Power Rankings: Best revenge games this season?

There are plenty of enticing matchups throughout the remainder of the NFL season, and Chris Simms and Tank Williams are here to rank which should be the best revenge games.

TANK WILLIAMS: Hi, Chris. Now, nothing says revenge like someone airing out their dirty laundry on social media, but I've got something that may come close. Now, we've got Kirk Cousins going against his former team up in Minnesota this Thursday after taking about $44 mil from them before beaming his tail over there to the Vikings. But at the same time, Adrian Peterson-- arguably the best player in Minnesota History along with Case Keenum, who has probably the best play in Minnesota history, are returning back up there as well. So that got me thinking, like, what are some of the best revenge games here in 2019?

So here's my list. At number three, Marcus Peters going against the LA Rams in Week 12 of this season. At number two, Lev Bell facing off against the Pittsburgh Steelers. You know, we've got to love that. And number one-- this is a whole team thing. The Bears going against the Eagles in Week 9 in Philadelphia.

CHRIS SIMMS: I like all three. I had all three written down too-- these ones are interesting to me. So I'm not going to fight back against them too much. Only problem is I'll say like, OK, Le'Veon Bell, the Jets-Steelers, I mean, that's going to be crap. Who gives a damn about that game by that time of the year.

TANK WILLIAMS: But the thing is though is that Lev Bell gives a crap about that, because basically they put a whole bunch of fake news in the media about him turning down the contract that was supposed to be huge. But in actuality, they had, like, rolling guarantees. So they played him for a fool in the media. But then he ended up getting his money. And even if both teams are garbage, he's still going to want to stick it to the Steelers in Week 16.

CHRIS SIMMS: I agree with that. He's going to want to stick it to them for sure. OK, I'm just saying I think there were some better ones out there. Now, I like your Marcus Peters the Rams, all right? That one, I'm not going to say anything. There's a guy who's got knowledge of the Rams offense and it's fresh. The trade is going to be fresh on his mind, which will add to that little rivalry-- intensity of that game in general.

The Rams and the Ravens are both going to be playing for something. So I can-- I like that one. And then OK, your other one-- I wrote that down too-- Bears-Eagles.

TANK WILLIAMS: Why did you have that though?

CHRIS SIMMS: Well, I got it low, because I don't think either team is worth a damn right now. So that's where. Like, I hear you, but I want more relevancy, OK? That's where I'm looking at it. Like, man, you got to say Week 14 KC versus the Patriots.

TANK WILLIAMS: But Patrick Mahomes is on the shelf.

CHRIS SIMMS: He'll be back by then. That's eight weeks away. He'll be ready to go by then.

TANK WILLIAMS: Let me tell you why I picked the Bears and Eagles number one-- because look how close the Bears can to the Super Bowl-- at least the fans thought they were close-- before, like, Cody Parkey's kick got hit with a Dikembe Mutombo twice-- once by the Eagles players and the second by the goalpost.

And so they have all this good energy coming into the season thinking that they're going to be the team to beat in the NFC, yet they have this quarterback that cannot compete. And they're like, damn, like, we were just that close last year, and now we don't have a chance at sniffing the playoffs, let alone the Super Bowl.

CHRIS SIMMS: I hear you, but close the damn yearbook. It's a new year, Tank, OK? Close it up. It doesn't matter. I got-- hey, we've also got to remember Gase against the Dolphins-- all right, Jets-Dolphins. That will be a good one.

TANK WILLIAMS: Talking about a toilet bowl.

CHRIS SIMMS: Yeah, it's a toilet bowl. It's not my prime. It's not my cream of my crop yet. Let me get there. Don't delay me, OK? All right, Bruce Arians-- he's going to get a crack at the Arizona Cardinals again-- the team he left. Again, toilet bowl-ish OK. I'll take that. OK, it's toilet bowl-ish.

But then I get into Cowboys-Rams Week 15-- that could have some playoff standings as far as consequences-- who wins and loses.

TANK WILLIAMS: Even though right now they both look like fake contenders still.

CHRIS SIMMS: Well I don't-- I'm not ready to say that yet. They're still quality teams. The one team's leading the NFC East. The other team, OK, they lost a game to the 49ers and missed a field goal at the Seahawks. Yeah, but I'm saying the Cowboys are still going to want revenge for that butt whooping they took last year in the divisional playoff.

TANK WILLIAMS: Touché.

CHRIS SIMMS: When the Rams ran for like 250 yards on their ass, all right? So that one, got to do that. And then here's one of mine that I really like, OK-- the 49ers going to the Falcons Week 15 again. That week's got some primetime games as far as this topic is concerned. But Shanahan going back to the team he was the offensive coordinator for.

TANK WILLIAMS: Talk about revenge-- oh my goodness. That's going to be nasty.

CHRIS SIMMS: That's going to be a bloodbath, and I think he's going to like sticking it to them. If you remember correctly, like, Matt Ryan took a few parting shots at Kyle Shanahan as he went out the door. The first year-- the year before they went to the Super Bowl, there was some shaky stuff because Shanahan didn't play Roddy White, and there was kind of an uprising down there in Atlanta that Roddy White wasn't playing more, even though it proved that he was kind of done with his career.

So that's one where I look at and go, watch out, because the old OC who left town has got a Super Bowl team. And the team he left is down the toilet bowl, as you like to say.

TANK WILLIAMS: If they took some parting shots at Shanahan, he's about to come back with that haymaker at the end of this season, and I cannot wait.
