POST GAME REPORT: Alabama beats second set of highly-ranked Bulldogs on the day, beats Gonzaga 91-82

The Alabama Crimson Tide had two big games on the docket for the day, and the second was a “neutral-site game” that ended up being a road game in Seattle against the No. 3 Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Alabama was up for the challenge and didn’t miss a beat, leading throughout the game and by as many as 18 points at one point. The final score told the story, as the Crimson Tide won handily with a final score of 91-82.

Jaden Shackelford had himself a day, scoring 28 points and pulling down nine rebounds.

Freshman JD Davison had a career day, as well, recording a career-high 20 points and five rebounds.

The Crimson Tide shot 43% from the field, including 38% from three. Alabama hit 13 threes in this one, getting hot early and finishing the same.

Free throws were much improved for Alabama, hitting on 72% of their shots from the charity stripe.

The defense played a solid game, overall. They allowed 44% shooting and 39% from three, but they made several stops when it mattered to allow big runs from the offense to widen the gap.
