This Porsche-Inspired Nike SB Dunk Low Is Reportedly Releasing in 2021

Nike SB is reportedly giving car enthusiasts a new Dunk Low to look forward to in 2021.

Sneaker-leaking social media account @zSneakerheadz unveiled a first look on Instagram yesterday of the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pink Pig,” which is reportedly inspired by the Porsche 917/20 supercar used during the 24 Hours of Le Mans race in 1971 of the same name.

The look is executed with a tonal pink upper that’s constructed entirely of premium suede except for the tongue, which is made of breathable mesh. Additional elements include matching pink shoelaces, red Nike branding at the tongue and heel tab, and contrasting red stitching throughout the upper’s panels and Swoosh logo on the sides. Aside from the monochromatic color scheme, the signature prints found on the body of the car did not carry over to the upcoming style. Capping off the look is a clean white midsole and a black rubber outsole.

Although @zSneakerheadz revealed that the Nike SB Dunk Low “Pink Pig” will hit shelves in early 2021, the launch details have not yet been confirmed by Nike SB.

In related news, the iconic Nike Dunk earned the 2020 Shoe of the Year nod from FN and will be honored next month at the first-ever virtual FN Achievement Awards. The basketball-turned-lifestyle model made its retail debut in 1985 and it had one of its biggest resurgences ever this year. Popularity was largely fueled by the return of classic styles as well as new iterations created in collaboration with rap megastar Travis Scott and ice cream company Ben & Jerry’s.
