Incidents reported

Butler Twp. police reported the following:

— Officers are investigating thefts and vandalism to political signs. A minimum of 15-20 signs for Hazleton Area School District candidates Decosmo, Feissner, Ryba and Shemansky were stolen or intentionally cut. Another race candidate has also reported having signs stolen. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 570-788-4111.

— Yvone Jais, 68, of Drums was attempting to make a left turn onto Butler Drive from North Hunter Highway on May 2 around 2:20 p.m., but she failed to stop for a traffic light. Her car was hit by a vehicle traveling north driven by Jennifer Welsh, 49 of Hazle Twp.

— A vehicle driven by Bryann Z. Caderon, 19, of Hazleton was traveling in the 100 block of North Old Turnpike Road when he lost control of his vehicle after dropping his cellphone on May 3 around 11:45 p.m. Caderon's vehicle then sheered off a utility pole. Caderon escaped injury.
