Police identify 65-year-old Mason man who died in Leroy Township crash

LEROY TWP. — The Ingham County Sheriff's Office has identified the Mason man who died Friday night in a crash in Leroy Township.

Albert Lowe, 65, was killed in the two-vehicle crash, Capt. Andrew Daenzer said Tuesday morning.

The crash happened around 8:20 p.m. at the intersection of M-52 and Howell Road, police said in a Saturday news release.

According to the release, Lowe was driving west on Howell Road when he failed to observe a stop sign. His vehicle collided with another car heading north on M-52, driven by two Bath residents.

Lowe died from his injuries at the scene.

The other car's two occupants were conscious when first responders helped them out of the vehicle, the release said. They were taken to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The Ingham Regional Crash Investigative team is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at (517) 676-8202.
