Police are investigating a sexual assault which took place at a Foo Fighters concert in Glasgow.

The attack happened at Bellahouston Park as the US band was finishing its performance on Saturday night.

A woman was heard screaming just before midnight by a dog walker who chased two men off before finding a woman in distress in the bushes.

‘I heard a woman scream and ran to the bushes. One man was standing by the bushes and another was inside the bushes where the woman was,” the man - who did not want to be be identified - told the Daily Record.

‘There was a cabin for G4S security staff nearby but they seemed unaware of what was happening so I chased the men.’

The area was cordoned off and a manhunt is now underway for more than one suspect.

Security company G4S, which provided security for the event, told the Daily Record they were helping police with their investigation.

The firm said the woman had suffered a ‘harrowing’ ordeal and they contacted police after finding her in distress.

A Police Scotland spokesperson confirmed that they are investigating the reported sexual assault and officers have taped off a section of the park.

A spokesperson told Yahoo News UK: “Enquiries are continuing following a report of a 32-year-old having been sexually assaulted whilst attending an event in Bellahouston Park in Glasgow at around midnight last Saturday.”
