Plymouth Village Board deals with light January agenda

Winter’s onset has characteristically slowed village business, especially projects that require outdoor attention. As a result, the Plymouth board found themselves primarily in a discussion mode for their meeting on Wednesday night, January 6th.

Two significant items did get board approval, though. One involved the town’s Metzger Committee’s new appointments. The board approved Nancy Ussery and Linda Higgins to join that committee.

In the other, the board took action to make improvements for police equipment, approving up to $7,500 for that effort. No specific details were announced at this time.

As expected, the issue of the dilapidated buildings is awaiting contract figures to project the cost for this effort. Also as part of the winter issue, work on the Ball Park and Bathroom projects will likely be on hold until the arrival of spring weather.

The issue of vendor contracts for the Square continued to be unfinished business, with finalization being hoped for at the board’s February meeting.
