Plane Catches Fire After Landing at Miami Airport

At least three people were taken to hospital after a plane carrying 126 people caught fire after landing at Miami International Airport (MIA) on Tuesday, June 21.

The fire broke out on the Red Air flight arriving from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, when a landing gear in the nose of the plane collapsed during landing, according to MIA.

Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue said fire crews brought the blaze under control and mitigated fuel spillage. The three injured patients were transferred to local hospitals.
