A Pitkin woman died Sunday after being injured the day before in an all-terrain vehicle crash, according to Louisiana State Police.

The crash happened Saturday evening on Webster Maricle Road, west of La. 113 in Vernon Parish, Troop C said in a news release.

Belinda R. Thompson, 62, was ejected from a 2004 John Deere ATV as it was traveling east, police said. The ATV had a tire malfunction, causing it to overturn several times.

She was severely injured and taken to a hospital. Troop E was notified on Sunday that Thompson later died.
