How they got here: Central Columbia first beat Palmerton, 2-0, then topped Pequea Valley, 3-0, in the Blue Jays' quarterfinal matchup. Mid Valley whipped Loyalsock, 12-0, in five innings, in its opener and the Spartanettes rallied to edge North Schuylkill, 7-6, in the quarters.

Where: Patriots Park, Allentown

How they got here: Lampeter-Strasburg tripped Marple-Newtown, 8-2, and the Pioneers knocked off Sprnigfield-Delco, 5-0, in the quarterfinals. West Scranton edged West Chester East, 7-6, in the quarters, and topped Elizabethtown, 6-2.

The buzz: Their common opponent is Elizabethtown, which L-S beat in all three meetings. ... West Scranton has rallied from behind to win both its PIAA games, down, 1-0 after a half inning, and down, 2-0 after a half inning, and 6-4, into the fifth against West Chester East. ... L-S shortstop Blantz will play at the University of Delaware. 2B Daisy Frank is going to Syracuse for field hockey. ... L-S is playing in its fifth straight PIAA semifinal and reached the final in 2016-18-19, winning it all in '18. ... Four of the six seniors started on the title team as freshmen and five of them played in the '19 title game. ... Russo has homered in four of the last six games, at least one to every field, including game-winning homers in the District 2 final against Abington Heights and her three-run homer to put West in the lead for good against WC East. West Scranton starts two freshmen, three sophomores and five juniors. ... West Scranton has eight players who have combined for 14 homers this season.
