GAYLORD — Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital plans a potential two-hour phone outage starting at 8 p.m. on Feb. 7 to upgrade hardware and software associated with its phone system.

All phones at the hospital, including patient room phones, will be disabled and necessary communication will be conducted by cell phones. Emergency 911 communication is not affected by the hospital outage. In the event of an emergency, community residents should call 911.

Local EMS and first responders have been notified about the outage and have appropriate cell phone numbers for communication with the hospital during the downtime.

The upgrade will add several features to the hospital’s communication technology and enhance communications within the Munson Healthcare system.
