Phoebe Waller-Bridge thanks Jennifer Lopez for inspiring popular 'Fleabag' character

Just a week after grabbing a couple of Golden Globes, Amazon Prime's Fleabag cleaned up at Sunday's Critics' Choice Awards. The show took home hardware for Best Comedy Series, Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

While the wins are not particularly surprising, the show's creator and lead actress, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, did surprise viewers with an interesting admission. While accepting the award for Best Comedy Series she said, "This is a bit of a random shout-out but you have no idea how much you can accidentally inspire people just by doing your work, and somebody inspires this show in a way that you will never know, and that is J.Lo."

Waller-Bridge went on to explain, "I decided that the priest's favorite song is "Jenny From the Block" and it opened at the entire character for me."

Jennifer Lopez attended the awards show but appeared to have left prior to the speech. However, the multi-talented actress did tweet, "I’m a huge fan of yours too, Phoebe Waller-Bridge! Congrats on the wins for Fleabag!"

The popular priest character Lopez helped inspire is played by Andrew Scott, who won for best supporting actor.
