Pete Davidson Said Goodbye To "SNL" With One Last Weekend Update Appearance

Pete Davidson's time at Saturday Night Live ended as it began: at the Weekend Update desk.

His first ever appearance on Update was back in 2014.

For his last episode, Pete rolled up to the desk to talk about his time on the show, and there were obviously jokes.

Some highlights:

"Hello Colin and Che, and millions of people only watching to see if I bring up Kanye."

"I became hugely successful while barely showing up to work."

"Lorne accidentally gifted me a sock, so I'm free."

He talked about one of his earliest controversies on the show, when he made a joke about Republican congressman Dan Crenshaw.

Pete Davidson saying, "I was making a joke about someone's appearance without realizing that the medical issue behind it was a sensitive issue... which is an SNL alumni tradition."

Chris Rock was an SNL cast member from 1990 to 1993.

Then Pete said he'd miss Lorne Michaels, and shared the advice Lorne gave him when he got engaged to Ariana Grande after dating for two weeks.

He finished off by thanking Lorne and everyone at the show for always having his back and "not judging [him] when everyone else was."

Pete was best known for his Update appearances and pre-taped music video sketches, so it was only fitting that he closed out his time on SNL like this.

He also did one last music video that didn't air on the show, but you should really see it.
