People view fireworks from parking lots and churches near Ashland Community Stadium

ASHLAND - Ashland fireworks lit up the sky on Monday, July 4 to celebrate Independence Day.

While people weren't able to view them from Ashland Community Stadium or on the Ashland High School athletic fields and sidewalk this year, spectators could see the display from nearby parking lots and churches.

Ashland Rotary Club funded the event and had a 50/50 Super Raffle drawing one hour before the fireworks.
