Penny Lancaster has joked that her hubby Rod Stewart “doesn’t need an entourage” after revealing she once kicked a man in the face and broke his nose in order to protect a partner.

The model, 48, spilled the beans on Loose Women during a chat about road rage.

She said the row took place years ago when she was in her 20s, long before she married Stewart.

Mother-of-two Lancaster explained that her partner at the time was collecting her from a train station and angered a bus driver by getting in his way.

The pair were “signalling rude hand signals to each other” and she assumed that was as far as things would go.

But the bus driver then decided “to abandon his bus and all the passengers on board”.

“He came down the row of traffic, banged on the window and insisted my partner get out and have fisticuffs in the road to sort out this dispute,” she said on the ITV show.

“It went on and on and on, to the point where my other half was on his back with this driver that was twice his size over him leaning over with his fist back.

“And I thought it could be a fatal blow.

“So, Penny saw red, jumped out of the passenger seat and the only thing I could do as quick as possible was grab the back of his hair and – I feel terrible saying this – and I kicked him in the face.”

Lancaster said her move did end the altercation.

“The bus driver waddled back to the bus with a bit of a broken nose, I think,” she said.

Luckily, there were plenty of witnesses, and Lancaster said the police decided she had acted in self-defence.

The bus driver apparently got the sack.

‘That’s why Rod doesn’t have an entourage he just has me,” the star joked after sharing her story.

Lancaster and Stewart, 74, tied the knot in Italy in 2007.

The couple have two sons together – Alastair, 13, and eight-year-old Aden.
