Penn State women’s hockey sending 1st alumna to Olympics
For the first time, the Penn State women’s hockey program will be represented at a winter Olympics.
The program announced officially Wednesday that 2021 alumna Jessica Adolfsson will suit up for the Swedish national team when the Beijing games begin early next month.

The defender graduated last spring after finishing her career sixth all-time on the program’s career scoring list for defenders. She tallied 26 points in her three seasons in Happy Valley and was a member of the Swedish team when it qualified for the Olympics back in November.
Now the Linkoping native will carry the banner of the entire program forward after what’s already been a landmark year. Last February, the Nittany Lions won the regular season title for their College Hockey America conference for the first time since the program began competing at the NCAA level in 2012-13.
