What are the three issues that you see as most important to your district and what will you do to address them?

Government overreach — per the U.S. Constitution the federal government does not have the authority to do most of what it does. States being more efficient and responsive to the needs of the people should have their powers reinstated. Crime — refund our local police forces and institute policies to involve our community and police forces. Neighborhood watch with possible neighborhood deputies. Education — start a program using retired mentors and top upper level students to assist lower level classes.

At a time when costs are rising, state government has a surplus. How should it be used?

Temporarily lower taxes.

Will you vote for Medicaid expansion in North Carolina?

No.

What has the legislature gotten right, and what has it gotten wrong, about public education in North Carolina?

Transparency about where all the money is going is critical! This should never have been vetoed and when it was it should have been made better known!

Should North Carolina change its abortion laws? How?

The current state law banning abortion after 20 weeks should remain.

Please add anything else voters should know about your position on the legality or availability of abortion in North Carolina.

No government can dictate what you can do with your body, Being pro life, I propose we institute in-utero adoption which would allow the mother to give the baby up for adoption in the womb and the adoptive parents can help with medical and other expenses till the healthy birth. This would allow the mother to know the baby will be taken care of when she makes her difficult decision, giving her more options, instead of trying to legislate beliefs.

Should medical marijuana be legalized in North Carolina?

Undecided.

What, if anything, should the legislature to do shape curriculum dealing with topics of race, sexuality and gender?

Parents are the ones to deal with sexuality and gender and anything done without their knowledge should be grounds for lawsuits against who ever is deciding for the parents. With regards to race, is there racism in this world? YES! Did GOD create people to be subjugated based on the melanin in there skin? That is too stupid to need an answer! Teaching our children there is nothing they can do about racism is a heinous lie!

Do you accept the results of the 2020 presidential election?

No.
