Parker boys soccer loses twice at Watertown tournament

Sep. 19—Janesville Parker's boys soccer team played two good halves of soccer at the Watertown Invitational on Saturday but a lack of offense led to two losses.

Lake Geneva Badger blanked the Vikings 10-0 in the first game and host Watertown was a 9-0 winner in the second game. Parker trailed 3-0 at half to Badger and 2-0 to Watertown but the wheels fell off in the second half in both games.

"In the first game, we were without three starters," Parker coach Zach Pratt said. "And in the second game, we lost an additional two starters by the end of the first half, so we were playing everyone from our bench in the second half.

"But, I was happy with the way our bench players were able to step up and play with a high intensity throughout both games today."

Parker (0-6) hosts East Troy in a nonconference match Monday.
